THRILLED is an over-used word but I’m too excited to come up with a better one.

This month, the dynamic Free@Last TV pitching team took our Rockstar Ending series outline to MIP, ‘The world’s greatest gathering of TV and entertainment executives’, in Cannes, on the French Riviera.

Somewhere among those 3,000 buyers I’m hoping there’ll have been a handful with the searing vision to commission our original, character-driven and could-not-be-more relevant, ground-breaking piece of TV drama.

Getting shows made is a tricky process.

There are countless horror stories from other authors whose book has been optioned, only to find the company that has bought their rights has no real interest in doing the development needed to get the story onto the screen.

My experience with Free@Last could not be more promising.

I was closely involved in writing the series proposal and approved this eye-catching design for our key document.

It has been a privilege to work alongside experienced and enthusiastic screenwriters who both shared and added to my vision.

Having co-created an outline we can all be proud of, here’s hoping we will edge even closer to making the series a reality over the coming months.
